James found himself connecting with others through remote programming and like many was grateful to be home with family safe and healthy. \nWhen pandemic measures lifted in August 2020\, James was determined to get busy. He craved OPPORTUNITY! A self-proclaimed “busy guy”\, he wasted no time taking advantage of many exciting opportunities and then some; Massachusetts Special Olympics Powerlifting State Champion\, with a personal best of 370lbs\, Member of the 2022 New England Revolution Unified Soccer Team\, A six week sabbatical from the program to act in the movie “Champions” starring Woody Harrelson in Winnipeg\, Canada slated to premiere March 24\, 2023 and Class of 2022 Opportunity Works Project Search graduate. \nProject Search\, Opportunity Works signature partnership with Northern Essex Community College\, affords participants the opportunity to intern in a vast and growing array of NECC departments on campus where they gain valuable work experience and build a robust resume for future competitive employment. James did exactly that; excelling in each internship rotation on campus at the YMCA Day Care\, NECC Gallaudet University Program\, NECC COVID Team and Administrative Offices Assistant. He took time over the summer to revel in his accomplishments\, spend time with family while seeking his next OPPORTUNITY. \nJames quickly found gainful employment at Windrush Farm and Sauce\, Andover.
